The boat, acquired in 2008, was manufactured by Safe Boats Intl with a hull serial

number of EGO01111J707Z1442. The boat requires repair and possible replacement of

propulsion, auxiliary, and electrical systems in order to return to operational status. The

boat has been out of the water for nearly two years without being energized.. The hull is

a deep V planing design, with frames numbers from transom to bow. The propulsion

system consists of two diesel engines with marine gears connected by shafts to two

waterjets located at the transom. The SPC-NLB hull collar is a patented design by

SAFE Boats Intl. The collar uses polypropylene form, which does not inherently absorb

or retain water. The foam material is covered with woven polyester base cloth. Hoisting

condition (boat fully fueled, with outfit but no crew) 32,000 lbs. Boats superstructure is

marine-grade aluminum. The boat was actively used for 15 years in North Atlantic

waters during military operations, any damages sustained in the process were repaired

at the time incurred. One particular event occurred in November 2010 in conjunction

with the former CG42002. Both boats were repaired, improved and returned to service

where they operated for an additional 12 years before being removed from service.

*Trailer:* The four-axle trailer manufactured by Boatmaster in 2011 is designed for trailering the

42 NLB and requires repair including, but not limited to, the tongue jack (internal
